Nitrous Oxide • IV Sedation

Due to the additional and extensive training to be licensed to provide IV sedation, Dr. Cowgill is one of a very few dentists providing IV sedation. IV sedation is used to relieve the anxiety of those patients who have a tremendous fear of the dentist, often called the Dental Chicken.  Is that you?  IV sedation doesn’t put you to sleep but it makes you really relax and makes your dental visit much easier.  IV sedation is safer and more effective than an oral sedative (pill).  We also have Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) for use to help relieve lesser levels of anxiety.  It’s your choice and available if you need it.
